CRUMBED CALAMARI
This is one of our most popular products and is used extensively by
hotels, clubs, restaurants and seafood outlets. We use only premium
quality squid and process it in an optimum way to retain its
superior texture & tenderness.
Careful handling of our calamari ensures its natural, subtle
‘nutty’ flavour as well as its fine texture.
By developing our own special component we achieve a perfect
batter and crumb adherence to the product. To compliment the
premium squid, the rings are given a light coating of high quality
batter and a single coating of golden Japanese crumb.
To retain its quality advantages, the product should be cooked from
frozen. Calamari should never be overcooked as this toughens it and
we recommend a frying time of 30 seconds at 180 degrees Celsius.
Our calamari rings are loosely packed between sheets of plastic to
enable them to be used without defrosting the complete
contents.
